DAUGHTERS is a powerful documentary following the lives of four young girls who prepare for a unique dance with their incarcerated fathers as part of the Date with Dad rehabilitation program. For many, this will be the only time they will be able to touch or hug their fathers for the entirety of their sentence. The film follows the fathers going through intensive fatherhood therapy preparing them for this life-changing day with their daughters. DAUGHTERS shares a complex and intimate portrayal of childhood, and the resiliency of these young girls as they navigate life in the absence of their fathers.
