CATEGORY: Film

PROJECT DIRECTOR: Sophia Khan

INTERLUDE is a female-driven short film focusing on the intersection of technology and human rights. When Sidney persuades her husband to create a sex surrogate clone of herself, the two must face the consequences and reckon with the new, often troubling, presence of technology in their lives. INTERLUDE brings forward themes of sexual servitude & sexual freedom, ownership of the female body, mental health & disability, biotech, and more. The film's goal is to inspire discourse about bioethics and the connected issues and challenges we face as humanity moves toward a more technologically-focused future.
